This small hamlet of Ramdhura is situated nearly 07 kilometers from Deollo close to the town of Kalimpong. The location and the surroundings are mesmerising. The Himalayan range is visible on a cledar day. Clear Sky during winters is best for witnessing a mesmerizing sunrise over mount Kanchenjungha. Summers is best to beat the heat of the plains and enjoy the pleasant cool winds. Monsoons are best for watching the clouds and relaxing. Hence can be enjoyed throughout the year. Surrounded by pine forests  and the view of flickering lights of Kalimpong in the night, make Ramdhura a great destination to spend a couple of days in peace.  Monsong, Pedong, Algarah, Icchey Gaon, Damsang, Rikissum, Sillery Gaon, Kalimpong, Rellikhola, Lava, Loleygaon are some of the places one can visit from here. One can also walk down to Deollo. Only Home stay in the region offers a homely atmosphere hence the demand. Visit to Mungsong is advisable, it is a peaceful village with some of the best views of the Eastern Himalayas and Cinchona Plantation around it. Around 100 families stay here and work on the plantations started during the British times. The homestays are ideally located i.e. close to main road and picturesque settings. They are well equipped with Washrooms, electricity, beds, hot water and attached western bathrooms. Please do not expect a great infrastructure in such remote areas. They are decent and the stay is made memorable by their hospitality. Decent properties is what we can best explain them. One can eat outside the stay in the open-air terrace. The home stays arrange trek guides for the guests and cars for sightseeing trips too. There are also car parking facilities here. The food is essentially Indian and home cooked and the ingredients are mostly locally sourced and fresh. Homely food and warm hospitality will always make you feel at home. Guest can also cook food of their own choice with their support. Short treks to British built Jalsa Bungalow of 1930 and the surrounding cinchona plantation is advisable. One can also trek to Silent Valley. Birding & Angling can be arranged if informed early.

The nearest airport is in Bagdogra near Siliguri, about 80 kilometers from Kalimpong. Air India, Jet Airways & Druk Air are the four major carriers that connect the airport to Delhi, Calcutta, Paro (Bhutan), Guwahati and Bangkok (Thailand).

By Road :-

Regular bus services and hired vehicles connect Kalimpong with Siliguri (65kms approx) & the neighboring towns of Kurseong, Darjeeling and Gangtok. Four wheel drives are popular means of transport, as they can easily navigate the steep slopes in the region. From Kalimpong, you can book a cab to take you to Ramdhura.

By Train :-

The closest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri on the outskirts of Siliguri. It is connected to Kolkata (Calcutta), New Delhi, Guwahati and other major Indian cities.
